Watching the river flow, such a summer day. 

Seeing the clouds roll in, 

one more look can’t turn away. 

You know it’s so hard, it’s so hard 

to be without you now in my life. 

But I’ll let you go like the river flowing, 

and I’m sorry you cannot stay, gotta be on my way.

Shifting sands, 

everything changes with the seasons. 

Fading leaves fall from the branches 

now that bend. 

Lovers become friends, 

someone else will fill my heart again. 

Drifting winds, 

everything happens for a reason. 

Lessons to be learned along our way, 

Time, it cannot stay.

Under the moonlight blue, on the sands I lie. 

Catching a falling star traveling far across the sky. 

You know I can’t sleep, I can’t dream 

without the thought of you on my mind. 

Mother nature calls, in her arms, I’m falling 

and I know that I’m here at home, 

never could be alone.
